Montreal>Vermont
2nd major east coast>west coast
Almost 3 weeks / over 120 hours / 9,000 miles
This trip took me through numerous states along 90E. Incredible experiences included buffalo herds in South Dakota, Custer SP and Black Hills, Bighorn NF, Yellowstone NP, driving through a massive forest fire in southern Montana, Flathead Lake, high above Moses Lake, Olympic NP and NF, Oregon’s Pacific Coast, Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor, Columbia River Gorge, Point Reyes National Seashore, La Honda, Big Sur and Pfeiffer SP, and more of the Rockies from south to north. Some worthwhile towns and cities included Coty, Whitefish, Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend, Astoria, Cannon Beach, Harris Beach, Carlsbad, Flagstaff and Telluride.

Moab>San Fran>Newport RI
This trip was about 2 weeks / 100 hours of driving / over 6,500 miles
This trip showed me how much southern Utah has to offer. I also could tell from driving on 80E just above Lake Tahoe that I would have to go back and explore all of Tahoe.
Santa Monica>Nogales>Mazatlan
This trip was over 2 weeks / 120+ hours of driving / over 9,000 miles
A good friend and business partner split his time between Santa Monica and Mazatlan. Driving 14 hours south into Mexico was an adventure and educational – so was driving through towns along the US/Mexico border after coming back up through Nogales. This was also the first time I spent meaningful time in Santa Monica and Brentwood (LA).

Holiday music trip: NC>LA>TX>TN
This trip was about 10 days / about 50 hours of driving / ~4,000 miles
For the winter holiday I wanted to spend time in cities with a music scene: Asheville, New Orleans, Austin, Memphis and Nashville.
Naples>Savannah
My first major east coast>west coast
This trip was almost 3 weeks / 120+ hours of driving / 8,000 miles.
There were some places I had heard about and wanted to visit – or had passed through previously but wanted to spend some more time in – like Southern Utah, San Fran and San Diego. A few surprises on this trip that amazed me included the seals and sea lions in and near La Jolla Cove, the westbound drive along the Columbia River, Goblin Valley, the drive over the Rockies on 70W (12pm to sunset) which included snow, sun and awesome cloud formations.
